Privacy

Short version: we collect as little as possible, never ask for your child's name, and never sell anything.

What we store

  • Practice tests: the grade you chose, the answers given and the time spent on each question. These are not linked to a name or account.
  • Email address, only if you choose to give it to us (for example to receive results, take the full practice test or get the 7-day practice plan), along with your child's grade and, if you took a test, which test it belongs to, so we can send the right results and plan.
  • Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited), kept for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't do

  • We don't ask for, or store, children's names, photos or school names.
  • We don't show ads, and we don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
  • We only email you about Edzuno. Practice plan emails have a link to stop the plan, and tips emails let you unsubscribe.
  • Share buttons only ever share a link to the practice test or the puzzle of the day, never your child's results.
  • The CAT4 score checker doesn't store the scores you type in. If you ask us to email the explanation, the scores go into that one email and are not saved.

Cookies

We use one small security cookie that protects forms from misuse. The practice test keeps your progress in your browser's temporary storage so a refresh doesn't lose answers; it's cleared when you finish. The puzzle of the day remembers your streak in your browser only.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful (for example, how many people start and finish a test). It sets its own cookies and collects things like your approximate location, device and the pages you view. It never receives your email address or your child's individual answers; we only send it overall test scores. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Where data is kept

On our own server, hosted with Amazon Web Services. If you give us your email address, it is also stored with Brevo, the service we use to send emails.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your email address or a test result at any time through our contact page or by replying to any email we send you.
