For UAE parents · CAT4-style practice
A free 20-minute practice test covering all eight CAT4 question types. Instant results, a clear explanation for every question, and no sign-up needed.
How it works
Questions are set at the right level for Grades 3 to 9, using both UAE naming systems (Grade and Year).
24 timed questions: three of each CAT4 question type, so it feels like the real thing without taking all morning.
A score for each of the four areas, an explanation for every question, and the two question types to practise next.

Pick an area, choose an answer and see the explanation straight away. This is exactly how our practice drills work.
Figure matrices
In the top pair, from left to right the colour changes from black to grey. Everything else stays the same, and each pair keeps its own shape. Doing the same to the bottom figure gives a grey pentagon.
Verbal analogies
Tuesday comes after Monday, and Sunday comes after Saturday.
Number series
Add 8 each time. So the next number is 60.
Figure analysis
The paper was folded once, so every hole goes through 2 layers. When you unfold it, each hole appears again as a mirror image on the other side of each fold line. That gives 2 holes in total.
What you get
CAT4 is about the shape of a child's reasoning, not one number. So our results show each area separately, and turn them into a short, specific plan.

Example18 out of 24 correct
CAT4 doesn't test what children have learned at school. It tests how they think, with two question types in each of four areas. Our practice test covers all eight, three questions each.
Figure classification: which shape belongs with a group. Figure matrices: "A is to B as C is to…" with shapes.
Verbal classification: which word belongs with a group. Verbal analogies: how pairs of words relate.
Number analogies: the rule that turns one number into another. Number series: what comes next.
Figure analysis: folded, punched paper, opened. Figure recognition: find a shape hidden in a design.
Built for UAE families
Most Dubai private schools give CAT4 every year as part of KHDA's assessment programme, and in Abu Dhabi ADEK recommends schools give cognitive ability tests. For 2025–26, the core year groups were Grades 3, 5, 7 and 9 (Years 4, 6, 8 and 10). Some schools also use it for admissions, and requirements differ a lot between them.
We've checked what each school actually publishes, and cite every fact so you can verify it yourself.

Why a little practice helps
CAT4 measures reasoning, so cramming doesn't work, and we won't pretend it does. What does help is knowing what the questions look like, so nothing feels strange on the day.

No. CAT4 is published by GL Education, and its questions are confidential. Edzuno is independent: we write original questions in the same styles so your child knows what to expect. Our scores are not CAT4 scores.
Choose the grade your child is in now. UAE schools often use "Grade" (American/IB) or "Year" (British) and we show both: Grade 3 is Year 4, Grade 5 is Year 6, and so on.
