Dubai College: CAT4 and admissions
Dubai College asks Year 7 applicants for their most recent CAT4 or standardised test results, considered alongside school reports and GL Progress Test results.
What the school asks for
- For Year 7 admissions, applicants must provide their most recent CAT4 or standardised test results, which the school considers alongside school reports and GL Progress Test results. [1]
- The Good Schools Guide describes an entrance exam of maths, English and CAT4 sat in November, after online applications in August/September of Year 6. Third-party guide; may be out of date. [2]
- The same guide reports a minimum mean CAT4 score of 110 and three to four applicants per place. These figures aren't published in the sources we could check from the school, so treat them as indicative. [2]
What this means for preparation
The sources describe Year 7 entry, and GL recommends CAT4 Level D for Year 7. Because CAT4 results are weighed alongside progress tests and reports, steady schoolwork matters as much as test familiarity.
